Life gets busy and it moves fast! We all know that. So try your hardest to live in the now and visit loved ones before too much time passes or it becomes too late. “Next year” always becomes “next year” again if you don’t just make it happen. Human connection is good for the heart and soul. A healthy and happy visit can help reset you when going through a tough time or dealing with stress.
My best friend (whom I have been friends with for 21 years now) and I hadn’t seen each other in about 7 years though we talk or text often. Time just kept slipping through our fingers and other things in life became priority as they usually tend to do. Years of talking about potential visits came and went. I was definitely missing my best friend though.
Finally I decided to bite the bullet and planned to visit after the birth of her first baby. I scoured the internet for the best deals and ultimately booked my tickets through Delta.com which was breeze. I was so excited to see my long lost bestie! In addition to going to Connecticut to see her, I also got to have some of the best pizza and seafood in the world! I’m a pizza snob due to growing up there. Boy had I missed that pizza! My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
I had the most wonderful trip continuously cuddling with the most beautiful baby girl I had ever seen. I loved every minute of it. Reconnecting with my best friend was beyond amazing. I felt complete. I felt less weight of things I need to check off in life.
I couldn’t urge more the need to just make it happen. Go visit someone you love. Reconnect. Heal. Be happy. Relieve stress. Laugh. Best of luck!
